Living the North Norfolk life
Art Café is in Glandford, a beautiful hamlet nestled in the picturesque
Glaven Valley just two miles from Holt and Blakeney on the coast. We are surrounded by some amazing countryside and Norfolk hills (yes,
they really do exist), which are perfect for walks and wildlife spotting.
In our farmyard locations we're surrounded by other small businesses: a boat builder, Birdscapes Gallery, Cley Spy, toy makers and the award winning Grey Seal Coffee who roast all our our beans. The village boasts a Shell Museum (open March - October), and a church clock with plays a hymn tune every three hours. It's a quirky delight in the middle of nowhere on the way to Blakeney!
We're passionate about good vegetarian food and Norfolk produce so we source many of our ingredients from very local suppliers and are proud to be a big part of the wonderful local food scene. Some of our producers are based on the Bayfield esate and vegetables are grown for us just 2 miles away by Johnny Cubitt on his farm near Blakeney.
Our gallery and shop is stocked with paintings, textiles and beautiful objects sources from local artists, makers and a few things from local flea markets. There's an ever changing selection of contemporary exhibitions and it's all great for a browse. The challenge is to leave empty handed - but you needn't try too hard.
We are accredited by the Vegetarian Society, members of Slow Food UK and are recommended by The Sunday Time and The Telegraph.
We're very dog friendly, welcome happy children and try our very best to accomodate as many dietary requirements as possible. If you've any particular needs, do get in touch.
